This is the review of the new mould Airfix Hawker Hurricane in 1/72.
Although
the Spitfire had its name and legend, it was the Hawker Hurricane that held
most of the invasion forces early in WW2.
It was developed in 1934, and it was
available in larger numbers. It faced serveral times its recent opponent, the
Bf109 successfully.
It was updated several times, but this is the early
version, with fabric covered wing and wood propeller. Despite that, it was
still a wonderfull airplane.
This is
airfix new mould, and it is astonishing!
A lot of
details, nice recessed panel lines. It has wonderfull landing gear wells…
I
must say that with these new moulds Airfix just got to an unbeatable level of
quality vs price.
Everything
fits perfectly, and you can do several of the early fabric covered wings
versions.
So, get
one, as they are great for starters or for experts.
