This is the review of the X-32 in 1/72 from Tamiya.
The
X-32 was Boeing attempt on the
Joint Fight Program contest. Both competitors were given a same budget to build 2 working prototypes. This version relied on the same principles of the Harrier, which cutted down the costs of its development. Although it managed to fulfill the requirements, the
X-35 was chosen.
This model is simple, well detailed, and easy to build. Typical Tamiya. Nice cockpit, with a perfect clear part.
Landing gear wells and weapons bay also with good detail.
Although it doesnt have any details on the Vertical Take Off and Landing version, it is still a nice model. Easy to upgrade and scratch build. If you find it, get it. Its an odd little thing.
