This is the review of the 1/144 Fokker 100 SwissAir from Revell.
The Fokker 100 was the last big airplane Fokker built before Bankruptcy. It was aimed at the 100 passengers in regional routes, and it had its place. However financial problems and a large number of concurrent aircraft dictated its destiny. Despite that, it is still in service and it is expected to be used as a base for a new re-engined aircraft to be released in 2019.
It is a model hard to find, not very common. For that reason, it doesnt become cheap. Despite that, the details are good, and it is a nice airplane.
Landing gear and landing gear wells are adequate, with enough amount of detail.
The engines look good, the decals do fit well, but the stripes are a little hard to keep in one piece... Despite that, no problems in there.
If you are collecting passenger airlines, this is a model not very common, even in real life, so it may look good, even if it can be confused with a DC-9...
If you do manage to get one for an affordable price, just get it. Above all, it is fun to build and it does look good. Not a hard build, actually, a nice build, despite being rare and not very recent.
