The T-50 is the Russian new 5th generation stealth fighter. It is meant to match the F-22 and other new generation aircraft. Blended wing body, supercruise, thrust vectoring, stealth, are all specs included on this "still to be" operational aircraft.
This model kit from Zvezda is very beautyfull, even if there are no visible bombs bay.
The surface is detailed with recessed panel lines, not to deep, not to shallow. Just on the right ammount.
I did had a misfortune with the cockpit glass... Made the idiotic mistake of spraying matt paint over it, and still haven't managed to correct that mistake... With a final coat of gloss I do hope to restore its original transparent look. It is a shame, because the cockpit is beautyfull!
Landing gear is well detailed, even if their bay is a bit empty.
However, there aren't many details of the original one, and it was a nice decision to leave them straight, as one can detail them later on, when we can get a hold on pics.
The front landing gear is good!
There isnt much to see on the air entry, but... It isnt suposed to! In order to be stealth, the compressor blades must be hidden, as they are one of the main causes of radar signature.
After all, it is a nice and enjoyable model kit! easy to do, no big problems, it represents well the "still in develpoment" original one. I'd say, get one, if you're into jets, russian airplanes, stealth, or simply want a nice airplane to display.
