This is the review of the Matilda II in 1/76 from Airfix.
The Matilda II was a British well armoured infantry tank. It lacked the firepower and speed, but prooved effective against Italian and German armour early in the war.
Old Airfix model kits aren't that bad, but require some work. This one is no exception.
The tracks are made from rubber, and are a bit simple, but not awfull... Appart from that, it is a nice old mould model kit!
One can get a nice job with little effort, and the coloured Matilda II is simply beautyfull.
So, even if it isn't meant for absolute beginners, one can enjoy and build it peacefully, without bug frustrations...
So, it is cheap, enough details, and pretty. If you're into WW2 tanks, this one is a must.
