Tanks do travel on paved road, however, they to worn out their tracks faster, and the high grip induces faster wear. For that, speciallized tank transport was available early one. Scammel made one of the early models.
Airfix did some very nice truck and transporter models in the old days. Even if not perfect, it has some nice ammount of detail, even from bellow.
The hardest part is to put all wheels on the ground, and there are a few improvements we can make, like the windows...
But it does become a nice little truck. Requires some work, but can be enjoyable... put some threads and include a tank to be transported, and you'll get a "cute little thing"! Just get one and try it out.
